I’m Tsega, and I’m writing to you as a member of the Tigrayan family. I grew up with Tigray’s stories—its people, its ancient faith, its unbreakable spirit. For almost 2000 years, Tigray has been a beacon of Christian faith, from the ancient kingdom of Axum to the Orthodox monasteries that preserved biblical wisdom for centuries.
In 2020, devastating conflict shattered my community. Millions were displaced. Countless lives were lost. The world’s attention moved on, but my people remained—suffering, resilient, and waiting for the global church to remember them.
That’s why I started Love For Tigray. I’m not a large organization—I’m one believer who carries a burden to help the global Christian community truly see Tigray and respond with the love of Christ in tangible, action-oriented ways.
I believe God has called me for this moment: to tell Tigray’s true story, to mobilize believers worldwide, and to show the people of Tigray that they are not forgotten. Gospel love without action is incomplete. My mission is to bridge that gap—connecting Tigray’s suffering with the global church’s compassion and resources.
To see the global Christian community awakened to Tigray’s story—its glorious ancient faith, its suffering present, and its hopeful future—and mobilized to stand in solidarity through prayer, resources, and advocacy, demonstrating that the love of Christ is not passive, but active and transformative.
To tell Tigray’s true story, honor the resilience of its people, mobilize believers to respond with gospel love in action, and rebuild community, hope, and restoration in Tigray through prayer, giving, advocacy, and partnership.
You now know Tigray’s story. You understand the need. The question is: Will you respond? Whether through prayer, giving, advocacy, or simply sharing Tigray’s story, your involvement makes a real difference. The people of Tigray are waiting to know they are not forgotten. They are waiting to feel the love of Christ through His global church.
